Last year, severe flash floods caused widespread devastation across the Texas Hill Country. The impact was immediate and profound—lives were lost, homes were destroyed, and entire communities were left facing a long road to recovery.

In response, FOCUS USA launched an emergency relief campaign, mobilizing generous support from donors across the country. To ensure this assistance reached families quickly and effectively, FOCUS USA partnered with the San Antonio Food Bank, a trusted local organization with deep roots in the community.

Recently, FOCUS USA Board Chair Amin Kassam visited the San Antonio Food Bank to personally deliver a contribution supporting ongoing relief efforts. Months after the disaster, many families are still struggling to put food on the table, underscoring the lasting impact of the floods.

Through this partnership, funds are helping provide food, clean water, and essential supplies to communities continuing to face significant hardship. The collaboration reflects FOCUS USA’s commitment to working with trusted local partners and supporting long-term, community-centered recovery.

“When emergencies strike, our first instinct as a community is to respond,” said Amin Kassam, Board Chair of FOCUS USA. “But our responsibility does not end there. We remain committed to walking alongside affected communities through every stage of recovery, because the need is just as real months later as it was on day one. This partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank reflects exactly that commitment.”

There is often a long, quiet period between disaster and full recovery that goes unseen. Long after the headlines fade, families continue rebuilding their lives and navigating ongoing challenges.

This partnership reflects our enduring commitment to those affected—not only to provide immediate relief, but to stand with families in the months that follow, helping restore stability, dignity, and hope.
