SIBI Distance Learning School
Seattle, WA

Above is a photo of the Puyallup Church of Christ building at 402-5th St., Puyallup, Washington 98371, near Tacoma. The Puyallup congregation has invited the new Distance Learning School to conduct its classes at their facility. Ken Wilson (pictured right with his wife, Sandy) will be the Director of the school. His son, Anthony Wilson (pictured left with his wife, Shelley) will serve as Assistant Director. Jeremy Jackson, who is a local evangelist, will also serve as a staff member. Several students have been pre-enrolled and classes will begin in August 13, 2007.

As with the DLS in Fall River, MA, the Puyallup school will offer Sunset's complete 2 Year Resident Curriculum via teleconferencing over the internet. Those interested in preparing themselves for ministry in the Northwest can get the necessary training right in their own locality. By using current state-of-the-art technology, every course offered at Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock can be taken for credit at this new facility.  Students in both the Northeast and Northwest schools will be able to see and hear all that is presented in our Lubbock classrooms. They will be able to ask questions and receive live responses from the teachers in Lubbock as well as interact with their fellow students in Lubbock.

This technology will make it possible to train leaders and preachers in all areas of our country as well as in other locations all over the world.  Many will be able to continue living and serving in their home congregations while preparing to become more effective in the Lord's Kingdom. We foresee other locations being added in the future. Technology has given us some amazing ways to communicate and broadcast God's Word and we believe we need to be on the cutting-edge when it comes to training leaders for the cause of Christ.

We want to encourage churches in the Northwest to get involved with us in this project. If you have men in your congregations wanting to prepare themselves to serve the Lord's Church in your part of the country we encourage you to sponsor them and send them through our training school. We especially ask you at this time to help by funding this effort.  Any of us listed below would be happy to come to your congregation and make a full presentation about this evangelistic outreach in the NE and NW parts of the USA.

DISTANCE LEARNING SCHOOLS (DLS)

HOW DISTANCE LEARNING WORKS

Sunset International Bible Institute's proven curriculum of Bible training can be made available via distance learning technology to almost any place on earth. These live classes are interactive with instructors and students in each location participating as if they were in only one location.

By means of a dedicated broadband phone line students in the Northeast and Northwest can join together in studying God's Word just as though they were resident students in Lubbock. The class sessions are sent in real time and the students and teachers on both ends of the broadcast can interact with each other.
